Great part. Reviewed in the United States on June 23, 2021 Amazing value compared to a dealer part and half the cost of e remanufacturd part. Has ben been on my car for several months an no issues. Fortunately, the ride height matched the other shock so no reprogramming was required.

Perfect There was no problem with the installation and now my car no longer has a saggy butt. Took forever to find a replacement for the old ones. Did a lot of research and only a few companies had decent reviews... I usually go for OEM parts so this purchase was kinda like flipping a coin. Glad I made the choice.

So far so good Reviewed in the United States on May 25, 2021 Color: Rear Right Strut w/ EDC My dad's 10yr old bmw needed new air shocks. I wish I had bought both instead of one at a time. Word of advice always replace both! Anyways I've had them in for about 2-3 months and things have been looking good I haven't had any problems with them yet.

What are air shocks?

Air shocks are the part of your vehicle that create a smooth ride for you and your passengers. These shock absorbers cushion the vehicle from the inevitable bounces and bumps that occur due to less-than-perfect road conditions. Air shocks work by absorbing the energy of the shocks your vehicle feels, so you don’t feel them.

How long do air shocks last?

The answer to this depends on several factors. Typically, you should expect to replace your shocks every 50,000 miles. However, the wear and tear on the shocks will obviously affect their lifespan. Do you take your vehicle off-roading? Do you live in an area where the roads are full of potholes? Do you drive your car frequently, or rarely? The harsher the conditions and the more you drive your car, the more quickly you’ll have to replace your air shocks. These conditions include the weather and road materials. Road salt, sand and rough gravel all take their toll on your vehicle’s shock absorbers.

How can I tell when it’s time to replace the air shocks?

Since their lifespan can vary, it’s important to know what signs to look for that indicate it’s time to replace your air shocks. These three signs are the most common indicators that you need suspension work:

  • Bouncing: How is the quality of your ride? Is it smooth, or do you and your passengers feel like you’re bouncing around as you drive? If you’re feeling a lot of slamming, rolling or bouncing, your vehicle is no longer absorbing the shocks of the road as it should. It’s time to replace your air shocks.
  • Pointing: When you brake, does your vehicle seem to point toward the ground? If so, this is probably not a problem with the brakes. It’s an indication that you need to get new air shocks.
  • Leaning: How does your car perform when you accelerate? Does it feel like it is leaning? You might be surprised to learn that this is a sign that your shocks are nearing the end of their life.

If you notice any of these red flags that your shocks need to be replaced, contact your local provider of auto repair services in Port Charlotte, FL to perform the necessary maintenance as soon as possible.
